Hmm.. i Was fund of PuGs beofre EoTN release actually......I think the most exciting PuG i had was after the release of Nightfall.. on the Gate of Pain mission (Shiro and Lich one.. havent beeen to NF for a logn long time).Yeah we did it in HM and we had a makeshift builds.. just trying to have some fun with the game expecting to loose... well what can i say after one War quit and i was only melee left...we managed to Hammer lich back to hell and Send Shiro back to the Rifts =)
Was very nice PuG indeed.....I never complain aboutr them on the rare occasions that i do go into them.. I mean after all Pixels are just pixels.. And playing technicaly is there to waste time (SO winning or loosing regardles is still a waste of time....)

I usually have bad experiences with PuGs. My only fond experience was with Rotscale HM for the bounty. Our group consisted of me as a R/Rt Splinter Barrage, 5 W/Mos, 1 earth warding Ele, and 1 Monk. Surprisingly, no one died, and Rotscale was down within 2 minutes.

Yesterday, doing Eternal Grove NM on a new monk character I decided to join a PUG advertising for a monk. Only when I got into the mission did I realise that I had a Double Dragon Warrior with a Minion Master MOX, a spirit spammer ranger and a ritualist (Who wasn't that bad but didn't understand any english) with a fire ele MOX. Dear God. Nevertheless we kept 11 Tree Singers up, not too bad. And after that mission I have to say, UA is the most useful skill ever if half your team dies.

For the Zquests, i have mostly good pugs and rarely fail. That may be because i have such a fabulous monk with "win!" written in her DNA, but i must be modest and give credit to all those amazing wammos, MM's, SH spammers and barragers.

The great one I remember was Hell's Percipice, on the week they added the endgame prophecies stuff. I joined a PuG, and we did it Balanced (It was in the Ursan times), HM, No consumables, without a single death. Good times.

Holy crap! I was there ... okay, not, but I joined different pug for eternal grove NM yesterday that i thought would fail mission but we ended up owning it. even with 12 singers!
Assassin (me & my two heroes. Playing on non-unlocked account proved to be challege. But hey, WoH minion bomber worked!)
Warrior (competent leader, i have no idea what his build was)
Ranger (ignite arrows barrage and his heroes that were not any better)
Seccond ranger (i *think* he was beast master).
'ignite way':

R5/6+ HA team (balanced ), ended up owning some top teams, won halls, and would have won again if some RtL hadn't continually ganked us an entire match.

Hmmm. The PUGs I have best memories of were the ones I finished Dragon's Lair M+B and - I can't remember which one exactly, but it was one of the Ring of Fire missions. The Dragon's Lair PUG proceeded to give me a tour of Droks when they found out I was a newbie (I joined post-Factions), and the Ring of Fire people practically walked me through the mission. <3 Oh, and that Dragon's Lair PUG? I remember them being very prepared.
The most astonishing one, even though we failed: I was in a mission with a warrior. Said warrior had an astonishingly fail build, and I was preparing for the worst case scenario as is so common.
I swear I did not expect to see, after every few mobs: "Casters, are you OK? How's your energy? Tell me when you're ready to move on." (I still can't decide if he was fail or win.)

Great one just tonight with Gate of Madness. Couple of noobs at the mission, but they listened to the veterans, their questions were actually intelligent. Great synergy in game, great synergy in chat. One of them joined anothers' guild, everyone had fun.
Only annoying thing was people saying "OMG this group rocks" all the time
(I was Flare Prime the Ranger in game if any of you are reading this. Thanks!)

First or second character going through the jungle for the first time, we went through the whole thing and got to the desert with 1 pug. From the wilds to amnoon, these were good guys. Epic Aurora Glade win to, we were near wiped, 1 guy left and he ran the crystals solo.
There was a guy in pre, we wiped out all the charr(this was before the title or they put anything good up there, it was just a strait up adventure).

In the early stages of nightfall I, as a prot monk, joined a random PuG in Gate of Pain, three monks (Including Dunkoro), four wammos and 1 necro. The leader knew what to do and what the bonuses were (which tbh the rest of us random dudes didnt have a clue about :P) and lead us to battle. We managed GoP without any deaths, later on GoM with a couple of deaths on Shiro, and the last mission without fail. Great times.

Okay, maybe that's karma, but after 4 bad PuGs I got a good player. H/H'er, R/P with spears and a pet, MM hero, healer and I think a nuker. Did good job, too bad he didn't speak English, at all. Would've gotten Masters if he wasn't that slow.

As a player since the beginning, PuGs were generally the most fun I got out of GW for a long long time, even more so than when I started a guild up and did things with guildies.
That great excitement of having no idea how well you are going to perform as a team, no titles to show and limited armor types so you couldn't judge players well until you played with them.
Sorrows furnace was the best for me. Missions in general were fun to do. Does anyone remember THK, when you would just wait for ages spamming "Lf monk, 7/8"?

Back in the day when thunderhead keep was hard i used to pug it ones a day to help people get true that mission (for those that dont know lots and lots of people wernt able to get past it).
I loved to do that and i see it as a challenge. Yeah Pugging can be great fun although i don't think it will be as fun anymore as those first few months of prophesies.

I haven't had any truely amazing PuGs. But there are a few good raids. Went from Ice Caves to Hell's Precipice in a little over 3 hours with only Dunkoro for heros, as we couldn't find a monk.
Also had a good one in Tahnnakai that there were no heros in. Beat it with almost 12 minutes to spare on masters. :]

I dont remember my most amazing pug, but I had one recently.
Zquest for Rragars Meangerie, had failed it like twice already due to incredibad players. Decided to form my own team, it was splinter barrage tank 'n spank but NONE of the players had done it before, like three of the rangers had to go and buy splinter weapon before we could go.
After ten minutes of explaining how it works and stressing that the tank must go in first, we went in. Completely and utterly roled the entire dungeon, every single PUG in that team was a competant listener and played perfectly, as if they had done that role 100 times before. Was fun times.

Also, a 1:20 HM DoA Full Run PuG back in Ursan days... few people with brains and two very good monks IIRC...

15 wins in RA with me, another assassin, an incredible ranger that interupted everything somehow, and a monk.
Eh.
